In today's world, the urgency of tackling climate change has become impossible to ignore. With scientific consensus growing stronger by the day, we face a critical moment in human history. The consequences of inaction are dire, with rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and disappearing ecosystems already impacting communities worldwide. The need for immediate and decisive action to tackle climate change has never been more pressing and demanding of breakthrough innovations in business and technology at an unprecedented pace. Climate ventures are pivotal in driving climate action by demonstrating the market feasibility of low-emission technologies and models, especially in frontier markets where there's an opportunity to leapfrog emissions-intensive development pathways. However, entrepreneurs in these markets face challenges accessing early-stage capital and tailored support. To accelerate the impact of Climate Tech ventures from frontier markets, we developed the concept of CATALI.5°T initiative.

The CATALI.5°T initiative will provide support to Climate tech ventures through pre-accelerators phase 1 and phase 2, accelerators with grant funding and connection to VC and investors.

To make this initiative successful, we are launching a call for application to select several Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) to plan, organize and implement our Pre-Accelerator Phase 1 activities, in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Togo.

Each selected ESO will receive a grand up to 40,000 Euros to implement the activities, alongside capacities, knowledge, exposure, advisory services and tools to become a local champion in Climate Tech.

If you are an ESOs legally registered and operation in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Togo and you are geared to take Climate Tech venture to the next level, apply to this opportunity here before the 2nd of April 2024, 12:00pm CET.
